Magliette consolatorie e amori strappati ma il passato non è ancora così lontano

Lovers Shirts è il progetto (non solo) fotografico di Carla Richmond Coffing e Hanne Steen che vuole raccontare il legame forte che molte persone hanno con magliette e camicie appartenute agli amanti di un tempo.

Ecco perché definirlo un progetto esclusivamente fotografico è riduttivo. Lovers Shirts non si ferma allo scatto visibile ma gioca con il tempo e con certe emozioni familiari a ognuno di noi. È questo semplice rapporto tra corpi e magliette che riesce a stimolare ancora dopo tanto tempo più di un senso, fino a creare testimonianze profonde in forma di espressioni, parole (leggetele qui in mezzo alle foto) e ricordi spesso ancora vivi. Sì perché di certe magliette oltre a riconoscere colori e scritte, sentiamo anche le pieghe, gli strappi e gli odori di un tempo o almeno questo avvertiamo, tra un sorriso o una lacrima, quando la testa ad occhi persi decide con noi di volare lontano.

Così è nato questo post, da uno scambio di pensieri con Francesca, che ringrazio per avermi offerto lo spunto iniziale! 😉

Consolatory t-shirts and ripped loves but the past is not so far away

“Lovers Shirts” is the name of the (not only) photographic project by Carla Richmond Coffing and Hanne Steen. It wants to tell the strong connection between some people and t-shirts belonged to their past lovers.

That’s why it is reductive to define the project as just photoghaphic. “Lovers Shirts” is not confined to great photografic shots but it plays with time and emotions, which are familiar to all of us. It is this simple relationship between bodies and t-shirts that is be able to still stimulate more than one sense after all this time, until creating deep evidences like expressions, words (have a look here) and memories yet still alive.
Yes, because beyond seeing colours and writings of these t-shirts, we can still feel folds, rips and scents of the past or at least this is what we can imagine, between a smile and a teardrop, when our head decides to fly away with us.

This is the story of how this post was created, by exchanging thoughts with Francesca, whom I thank for giving me the starting idea.
